At the start of World War II, no weapon system was more influential in the fight against Germany’s aggressive intentions than the German machine gun. Germany was the third largest arms manufacturing nation, and the machine gun was the weapon of choice for military vehicles. The Germans fielded multiple variants of the Mauser MG-42, but their most successful machine gun is the MG-42D. The MG-42D was first issued to infantry in 1941. The machine gun used a bipod and could be assembled into the G-42D machine rifle.

Weaphones is a first person shooting game that allows players to play with different weapons from World War II. These weapons include a belt-fed MG-42 machine gun, a Luger P08 pistol, a German P08 rifle, and a StG-44 submachine gun. The players can move around the battlefield freely, and their goal is to shoot the enemy as often as possible.
